When I met Stephanie over 2 years ago, I instantly saw this radiant and beautiful light that was dimmed but longing to be free. She had a great energy and presence about her and I instantly had a connection with her.
After having 2 children, Stephanie had some weight she wanted to lose and some confidence that needed to be built. We discussed food, exercise, but mostly thoughts – toxic thoughts. Due to words and actions that were spoken and done to her as a child, she wasn’t writing, playing, or singing the music that she was meant to. Stephanie believed the lies. The lie that she wasn’t beautiful. The lie that she wasn’t enough. The lie that she wasn’t worthy.
After working with Stephanie for just over a year as a mentor, trainer, and coach (which grew into a friendship), I was honored to see her perform in her first concert in Kansas City, MO. She wrote all of the songs, played guitar, had 4 other peeps in her band and sang. She put together a playlist, decorated, and provided homemade brews for her debut. It was the week of her 30th birthday and the week she lost 30 pounds. As you can imagine, it was a HUGE and monumental week for her.
As I sat and watched and listened to Stephanie perform, my eyes filled with tears. They were tears of contentment and joy. Tears of gratitude. Gratitude that I was living my lives purpose and shining my light, which helped and allowed Stephanie to do the same. As I looked out at the audience absorbing the authority that Stephanie embodied as she performed, it was allowing them to reflect on their own lives, wanting the same for themselves, the courage and the strength for them to speak their truth and to live their lives purpose. It was an incredible gift. A gift knowing that what I do as a trainer, life coach, consultant, mentor, speaker, and friend makes a difference in this world.
Stephanie is in the process of having a demo made of her concert so she can get her music out and start performing in Kansas City. Once she records a few songs and has them on iTunes, or SoundCloud, I’ll make sure to let you know! Her voice gives me goosebumps, she’s so good!
I hope Stephanie’s success inspires you to kick your fear out, step out in faith, and shine your bright beautiful light!
If you’re stuck and need some help to moving forward, life coaching might be just what you need.
Shine Brightly,
Ali
